Tour de Uganda

My stomach is aching when I think of what will happen in about 24 hours... I will be saying good bye to all of the amazing kids here in Soroti. It breaks my heart when they ask me to stay, or to just come back soon. I joke with them that next time I see them they could be as tall as I am. Humor... the best medicine.

We leave tomorrow to visit Northern Uganda where they are starting another orphanage and church in a few months. Seeing more of this beautiful country will be great. We will be traveling around the different cities until Wednesday night when we head to Kampala for our last night in Africa. Thursday will be back on the Jet way.............. to London for lunch... then New Jersey for supper. The time change will be hard to get used to, but they always say it's easier on your way back as you gain 8 hours. Not bad.

A clean car? clean feet? carpet...?? these things seem a little hard to imagine. Thinking of water I can drink right out of the sink sounds great too. ha. I am so excited to introduce you to the kids, at least their pictures... I don't know if pictures can quite capture a land that stretches too far to see and kids that make you smile even when you are trying to be so serious.. (which happens all the time in class while I'm teaching.) Thinking of home makes my heart beat so fast. I am so excited to see each one of you I can hardly stand it!!

On Tuesday I will be seeing my first wild elephants, giraffes and lions.. oh my. We are going to be driving through a wild game park. Don't worry, I'll take a few pictures. My piano is calling my name... I think I can hear it. I am so excited to sit down with my almost full journal and make some new music! what an experience.

until next time. Yoga do.

(goodbye in ateso)
